Rapit 3D Printing

Welcome. I am Ray Hurd a 3D printing engineer based in Saffron Walden covering the North West Essex and South Cambridgeshire areas. I am a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering Designers (FIED).

In our throw away society things are often replaced rather than repaired! If the item can be recycled it is not so bad, but often this is not the case!

It is not always our choice to replace something but often a household item becomes unusable because one of its plastic parts has broken. It can sometimes be impossible to source a replacement part, especially when the item is several years old. This is where Rapit 3D Printing can help! A replica part can be designed and printed to replace the original. If you have the broken part this can be modelled on 3D software before being produced on one of our 3D printers.

Rapit 3D has been operating in the field for many years and can 3D Print all sorts of different plastic parts. If you would like to check if it is possible to have your plastic component produced and get an idea how much it would cost please get in touch. Prices are very good value for single or multiple parts! No job is too small!

The quality of our printed parts is remarkable whether printed in PLA or ABS. Our material suppliers always ensure that quality is maintained and many of customers supply the standard file type STL, but it is no problem for us to create one for you.

We can work with whatever you have - a part you may already, have or drawings or even pictures!

These pictures show a sample of the parts printed over the last few years. If you want me to produce some 3D parts for you, then all you have to do is send me an STL file of the part you want 3D printed.

Alternatively, I can create a computer model from your freehand sketches or drawings. From there, I can email you an image of how it will look and if you're happy with that, then I will go ahead and print it.

But first you will want me to give you a quote as to how much it will cost.

Please email me to discuss your project:

Trade Production

Mould tooling is expensive, so a small volume of 3D printed parts is a cheaper and quick alternative. If you have an STL file we can give you a price to print it. There is no delay, we have 5 printers readily available so supply can be same day!

Architectural Models

We are used to architectural modelling and 3D printing items; we create models to your information/specifications. Freehand dimensioned sketches are an ideal way of showing what you require to communicate design ideas - models can be made from a variety of materials including blocks, paper and wood or as a 3D print!
